Some Sneak Peeks from Weekend

We had such a busy weekend!  But before I tell you about it, let me just say that it is really hard to get used to a new keyboard.  This is going to take me awhile to type:)

 

There's nothing as fun as a happy family.  And this weekend, I got to hang out with two super fun ones!

 

Friday night was as perfect as could be.  There was no wind, yummy light, and beautiful colors all around.  We took our time and walked around the park and the river, shooting as we went.

 

Then on Saturday, we enjoyed a nice sunny, warm day. I was even hot at the football game.  Then, 20 minutes after our photo session began, a huge thunderstorm hit.  We ducked inside a grocery store to wait it out, then hit the road again after it was gone.  The electricity went out inside the store, so we sat ourselves in front of the window to watch the storm.  After we started again, it was kind of cold and windy, but this family (who came in from out of state) was up for the challenge!  And it was worth it, because we took some great pics.  It wasn't our first adventure together, either.  Carrie and I survived girls camp together.  We knew if we could do that, we could do anything;)

Baby Lovely

Here's a quick sneek peek at this morning's session.  The first word that comes to mind when I think of this baby girl is "lovely".  She is just simply lovely.  She was a perfect angel the entire time, even though it was tough work for her!  What a happy girl:)

Black and White

Some people just look good in black and white.  They just do.  And I'm not one of those people, I think.  But Spencer is, for sure.  He's one of those people who look good in color, and in black and white.  Kind of not fair.  I love it when black and white photos look so good!  These are some of my favorite ever.

Downtown Senior

I had such a fun time tonight rummaging around the back alleyways of Billings!  It was a blast, and at times, just a tiny bit scary -- but we survived:)  And I'm so excited about the pictures... here's a quick preview.... and then I really have to go to bed!

Dark Haired Beauty

OK, seriously.  Could this little newborn girl be any more beautiful?  I think she is absolutely perfect.  I had a blast photographing her.  She's just a few days old, and her family is totally in love with her.  I couldn't think of a luckier girl, to join this awesome family.  I can't wait to watch her grow into a beautiful little girl!

Total Admiration

Here's a sneak peek at the photo shoot I had on Saturday.  I just loved working with this family!  They are related to another great family I know, and just as sweet!  They were so great to work with, even as rain threatened the whole photo shoot.  It didn't let loose until the end, and we only got a little tiny bit wet.  And they even drove all the way here from another state!

This first one is one of my absolute favorites from the whole session.  What is greater than a husband focused on his wife with total admiration?  Love it!

Their little girl was so cute and happy -- I could only catch her looking at the camera a few times because she was enamored with her new shoes, and all the interesting things on the ground:)  But it didn't matter, because she was perfectly happy, and that's all you need for great photos!
